My wife and I dropped in for some lunch last week and were suprised at how tasty the food was, and very friendly atmosphere ! We enjoyed it so much we will be going back soon for sunday lunch
A Hidden Gem
The Devon Arms is a great pub, full of interesting local characters, fine pub grub and great real ales. Nice to see a pool table - not too many left in Torquay.
Best Sunday Roast
Had a sunday roast today and it was really perfect. Choice of turkey, beef or pork or mix of all. The roasties were the best ive had in a long time crispy and fluffy inside. All fresh veg was served in a dish to accompany the ample portion of meat, gravy, Yorkshire pud and stuffing ball. The cauliflower cheese was to die for!
A well earned pint
Often call in for 'a well earned pint' after a busy day. Has great beers with a home cooked, down to earth menu. (The homemade chips are to die for!) Offers: Pool table, juke box, dart board & live entertainment.
Home cooked food at Weatherspoon prices!
On our last night in Torquay we were craving comfort food. We ordered the chicken and pepper corn sauce and lamb shank. At our request they did mashed potatoes. Delicious!!! We were impressed with the quality, value and friendliness. A little gem offering great value.
Back on track!
The food was delicious, the price was good the staff were friendly and very helpful. Can't rate it highly enough.
Great night of live music
Live music was very good and service was very good I was served as soon as I reached the bar so no waiting lovely atmosphere and a good night was had by all.
We found this pub by accident, what a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was of a very high standard, with a good selection, and dog friendly which we love.
Enjoy a pint and a meal in Torquays oldest drinking establishment
Whats close by?
This lovely marina is very popular with seafaring folk and holiday makers, with wonderful views out to Brixham in the west and Teignmouth towards the east.
The Torbay area has been inhabited since Paleolithic times is shown by human bones and tools found in Kents Cavern in Torquay - great place to visit and very close to the Devon Arms
We are very close to the main shopping area. From boutiques to department stores, there is something for everyone. Why not stop by for a meal and drink when you're all shopped out!
